Review: Lee Stafford My wonderball waver.

The wand itself.
The box.
End result.
Here i bring you another christmas present review, this time it's for all you people who love your hair tools. I asked for the Lee Stafford My wonderball waver for christmas after i saw Barbara from the youtube channel thepersianbabe use something similar. (I'm obsessed with Barbara). I liked how it seemed so effortless something i could easily throw into my morning routine. When i got it at christmas i wasn't that into it and it took a while for me to use it in my routine, but now i do normally at weekends but ocassionaly for college. It honestly is effortless and takes really no time at all, maximum 15-20 minutes. It heats up super quickly 7-10 seconds. It does get really hot, but it comes with a heat protection glove and mat. The ceramic barrel is also infused with Argan oil, not the best if you have problems with products you can and can't put in your hair but i've found it's only helped and enhance my hair. I think this is a great product easily the best curling wand i've ever used. In the next few weeks i plan to do a post on how i use it, style it and routine. My new bag.

Front.
Price.
Inside.
Back.
So i'm a tiny bit over excited because i got a new bag. I've needed a new bag for a while, but i just couldn't find one i liked until yesterday when i was flicking through one of my mums magazines and i saw a replica of the Zara office city bag for a measly £6, i knew i had to snap it up. (I tweeted saying "found a bag i really really want and i bet when i go to get it tomorrow it won't be in store"). And that was exactly how it was, there was no bag like that in sight but i did find this bag. (How beautiful is it). I'm quite picky when it comes to bags, and i've been looking for a smaller bag, so i can downsize all the stuff (shit) i take with me. I also wanted a versatile bag, one i can interchange from college to a day at the shops and this is perfect. It comes in blue+grey and also red+black, but i thought a simple black looked much better and it will go with any outfit. The gold hardwear just adds that extra dash of colour but in such a classy sophisticated way. I absolutely love it and i'm excited to put all my stuff in it tonight (Note to self: not to much shit). Icovetthee (Alix) instagramed a picture of the look-a-like Zara office city bag in her local Primark, so hopefully my Primark will stock it soon. In a few weeks i'll do a what's in my bag and review post. Claire x Twittter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers

Review:Beyonce Heat.

Beyonce heat.
It would be wrong if i didn't include the woman of the moment, Queen B, Beyonce on my blog. So what better way to do it than a review of her perfume Heat. I got this perfume for christmas, so i've had plenty of time to sum up a thoroughreview. A perfumw from Beyonce is an exclusive in my eyes because she's so private, so i had high expectations (but Beyonce is always faultless) and again she did not disappoint in any way, the bottle, the packaging and ofcourse the smell. It smells amazing, floral but musky and strong but not over powering, very long lasting. I wore it on a jumper one day and could still smell it on that jumper the next day. I have no faults, i'd definitely recommend it and i'm already eyeing up my next bottle as i'm under half way through tis one. Everything about this perfume, the packaging, the scent all of it is very classy very Beyonce. Have you tried this perfume? Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers

Review: Rimmel stay matte liquid mousse foundation.

Rimmel stay matte liquid mousse foundation in 100 ivory.
Swatch.
Recently when i'm watching t.v it's rare i don't see a advert for the Rimmel London stay matte liquid mousse foundation. Well i got my hands on a sample and of course i tested it with the aim of a fully informative review. But all i can really say is i hated it. Recently i've been suffering with really dry skin and this just clung to all the dry patches. It ended up with quite a patchy finish. The shade i got it in was 100 ivory and that seemed to be to pale (you can see in the swatch picture), but it was a sample so it coldn't be helped. But overall i ended up looking pretty rough with far to pale and patchy foundation. This foundation is not for full coverage. Unfortunately i won't be recommending it and i won't be getting it myself. Have you tried this foundation? Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers

What's in my makeup bag.

The over filled makeup bag.
The contents of my makeup bag.
So guys i decided it's time to ditch the makeup bag. Some people can work with makeup bags and some people can't, and i appear to be one og=f the people who can't. They just fustrate me their either to big or to small and i always end up loosing stuff from them. So it just has to go, but before it goes i thought i'd tell you what i'm keeping inside: -Original Astral moisturiser. -Helen E cream and concealer duo. -Collection 2000 colour match foundation in Dark 6. -Sue moxley Famous face powder in Shade 3 Sandy beige. -Rimmel london stay matte liquid mousse foundation swatch in 100 Ivory (expect a blog post on this soon). -Constance carroll duo powder blush from Collection 15. -MUA bronzer in Shade 1. -MUA bronze shimmer kisses in Shimmer kiss. -Rimmel london wake me up instant radience shimer touch in 004 Shimmering sand. -Beauty uk high brow eyebrow kit. -MUA eyebrow pencil in Brunette. -Maybelline jade high heel mascara in Brown. -MUA lipstick in Juicy Shade 15. -MUA lipstick in Nectar Shade 16. -Collection lasting colour lipstick in 15 Birthday suit. -Body collection mazi lipstick in Melba. -Primark eyelash curlers. -Foundation brush, Contouring brush, highlighter brush, blush/bronzer brush, face powder brush, eyebrow brush. Makeup bag from Primark. So that was everything in my makeup bag. Do you like makeup bags? Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers

Review:Clinique superprimer-universal face primer.

Clinique superprimer universal face primer.
A while back in a magazine i got a sample of the Clinique superprimer universal face primer. I thought i'd give it a whirl because i haven't really been on the primer bandwagon and i thought a sample would ease me on, along with giving me a chance to test it and see if i liked it enough to get the real thing. Another bonus was it gave me the chance to review it. One thing i liked about the sample was how the image of the actual product was on the packaging, so when you go to purchase it you know for sure what it is and what it looks like. For sample size i had a hell of a lot of product, i got 3-4 uses out of it and you only really need less than a pea sized amount. Probably my biggest bonus about this product is that it's 100% frarance free, so there's no scent. With that being said, it didn't effect my skin in anyway what so ever, no redness, no breakouts, no adjitation. Now the point of a primer is that it keeps your makeup in place and this most certainly does. I'd say with the primer my makeup lasted 8-9 hours still in tact and presentabe. I was worried that putting foundation on top of the primer would effect my foundation in the sense, taking some of the colour away or patchiness, but it didn't and i found my foundation applied and lasted better than ever. Maybe because the primer is so lightweight and oil free. Price wise for a 1.0fl.oz/30ml i really can't complain, i thought it would be much more expensive but it was only £20.00. So the price has given me the nudge i needed to go and grab it. Have you tested this primer? Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers

More simple.

The simple products.
Simple, simple, simple, simple. Sorry theres just so much Simple stuff lying around as i write this. Yes a while back i did a couple of blog posts on a few Simple products i had picked up, but since then i've repurchased and found some new goodies. First things first repurchases, i repurchased the soap and conditioner. The soap was one of the first Simple products i ever purchased and i really can not fault it. I just wish it smelt a little nicer but fragrance free is better for my skin so i can put up with the smell. The conditioner i had way before i really got into Simple and it had just been left at the back of my stash, but i rediscovered it and i haven't looked back since and i'm curently on my second bottle and loving it. For christmas i got a few Simple products off my Auntie and i wasted no time in testing them. (I didn't ask for these she just knows me to well). To go alongside my kind to skin hydrating rich moisturiser i now have it in light. Which just means it has one extra vitamin and is a lighter formula. Along with my moisturiser she also got me some Simple wipes, which i used all up and unfortunately threw away the packet forgetting the name, but in replacement of them i picked up the Simple baby moisturising wipes with soothing chamomile. Along with the wipes i purchased the Simple kind to skin soothing anti-perspirant. Which is perfect and keeps sweating at bay. All of these products i use either on a daily/weekly bases and none of them effect my sensitive skin. I would highly reccomend all of these products to anyone with or without sensitive skin. Eyebrows:powder vs pencil.

Pencil vs powder.
pencil and powder.
close up of pencil and powder.
Pencil.
Powder.
So when i was planning this post i was a million percent certain i would choose my trusty Beauty uk high brow kit, as this kit hasn't left my eyebrows for a good six months or even longer. Until i tested out my MUA eyebrow pencil that had been delegated to the back of my make up collection a year ago. Back then i found the pencil was just to harsh and i just ended up with slug eyebrows. But now things have changed and shockingly i prefer the MUA eyebrow pencil over my Beauty uk kit. Just because i feel the pencil keeps my eyebrows more in place with the wax than the powder kit where i don't like the wax. Also the pencil is a lot easier to shove in my handbag. So it looks like my trusty Beauty uk kit is being delegated and my eyebrow pencil from MUA had been relegated. There's one more combination i like to use which recently has been for everday use which is going in first filling my brows in with the Beauty uk kit (the ashy bown colour) then going over the top with my MUA pencil (which is in brunette). What do you prefer pencil or powder? Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers
