So guys it's that time of month again, it,s the time of month where i tell you everything i've been loving for the past month or in my case for the past two months as i decided i'd mash up june and july together. So what have i been loving for the past two months? 1. Revlon Bare it all Lustrous Lotion (370 PINK-A-BOO): This isn't exactly a newbie more of a rediscovery, and i'm so pleased i rediscoverd it. It's the perfect illuminating highlighter and has good staying power. The packaging is a hit and miss with me really. 2. John Frieda full repair Protecting root life foam: I'm still trying to come to terms with this but so far it's improved my hair quite a lot. It's increased volume a hell of alot so much so my friend thought i'd completely back combed my hair but it was just little beauty doing it's thing. I'm trying to keep my hair free of any heated appliances this summer so i can't imagine what it'd do with a blow dry. It does leave your hair quite crusty but you just have to brush that out and your good to go. 3. Nivea sos lipbalm: I picked this up in the end of June and normally i get dead bored of lip balms but this is a keeper, i've used it every day since i got it and it hasn't let me down. I've been on a lip balm bindge recently but this one definitely comes out on top for me. 4. Maybelline baby lips (soft cherry): This isn't actually in the picture because i lost it on a night out which i'm gutted about but i will be picking another one up immediately. I was never on the baby lips bandwagon i just thought it would be rubbish because it was brought out by a make up brand. But the phrase "don't knock it before you try it" definitely springs to mind. It was amazing soothing on the lips, keeping lips moisturised perfect for this hot weather when your on a make up free day. It does leave quite a glossy shine behind but i can deal with that it's actaully amazing quality and i'd recommend everyone to give it a try. 5. Kate moss for Rimmel lipstick (03): This is a diamond the diamond of all diamond lipsticks. It's the most beautiful browny/nudy/pink lipstick basically my idea of the perfect lipstick. Great lasting power, seasonal and stunnig. 6. Natural collection blushed cheecks (Peach melba): I may have mentioned this before in a previous favourties, but it deserves another mention. I've been wearing this non-stop and for a no blush girl like me that's some achievement. It's not to peachy but not to pink just the perfect combination of both. Dead suttle but you could build it up depending on the look your going for. 7. MUA bronzer (shade 3): Again i'm not sure if i'm mentioned this before, but i have to mention it again as it's been living on my face daily. I can't remember the last time i didn't wear it. It's definitely the best high street bronzer i've tried so far, although i am desperate to give the Bourjois chocolate bronzer a whirl. What do you think of the Bourjois chocolate bronzer? 8. MUA Luxe London Powerbrow shape+highlight (mid brown): This is easily my favourtie of all the favourites. My holy grail of all brow products. I had a bit of a disaster with my eyebrows recently and filling them in with powder or pencil just wasn't doing it for me anymore. This is so easy to use, it's so compact and it's a two in one anyway. I love love love it. 9. Calypso deep tan carrot oil: I picked this up because like everyone else i want to tan and addmitedly i struggle unless the tan is coming out of a bottle or tube. I was wary to see if this would work and i did and after a few hours with this baby on i was tanning nicely. The only down fall it has is if you spray it on anything else other than you (my white bed sheets to be precise) it stains orange, so just be carefull where your spraying it near and in what direction. 10. The devil wears prada (Lauren Weisberger): All the beauty stuff is done and dusted now so on to other more lifestyle bits and bobs i've been loving. This holiday i've set my self a challenge to read one book (addmitedly i could probably read ten considering the time i have to do it) i used to be a proper book worm and i want to get back in to books i picked this up last summer after the release of Revenge wears prada (if i read that this holiday aswell i won't be complaining). I started last week and so far i've just hit chapter nine, this is the perfect book and it's all about the fashion industry which just gives it an extra brownie point from me. 11. Little face (Sophie Hannah): This book is less fashiony (there's no ounce of fashion in it) and more real life. From what i've read so far (i'm on chapter 12) it's about a woman who's convinced her child has been swapped. Each chapter comes from a different perspective taking it in turns from the police officer dealing with the case and the mother of the child. It's a mysterious one and one you'll find that's hard to put down. 12. Skins: Skins skins skins skins skins. I never watched Skins when it first came out i just watched the final series last year. But i started right from series one and watched through to the final series and i was hooked completley. I had many 4.00am bed times because i was watching Skins. I'd say series 3+4 and 5+6 were my faves. I may have developed a small obsession with Luke Pasqualino who plays Freddie (series 3+4) and Sebastian De souza who plays Matty (series 5+6) and obviously cook. 13. Misfits: Another show i've never seen before, but again i'm completley hooked. I'm only on series 2 but i can tell i already love it. 14. Kim Kardashian game: I am a kardashian obsessive, so this game is heaven to me. In my opinoun it's the best game ever but that may just be a tad biast. 15. Spotify: Before this month i'd never so much as looked at spotify i was team soundcloud all the way, but spotify has won my heart and at least once a day i'm on it. They were my june and july favourites what have you been loving this past month? Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers Tumblr@clairespiers

British tag.

A bit of a late night post but hey ho here we go. I probably consider myself the most British but un-British person if that even makes sense maybe my answers to this tag will explain...you know i love a good ol' tag. 1. How many cups of tea do you have a day and how many sugars? On a regular daily bases i have about 4 i usually have a green tea or a regular nomal pg tips in the morning and the same at night and then throughout the day i have about 2 normal pg tips/green tea. It all depends on what i'm doing so for example if i'm out i normally order a cold drink and if my mums made the tea then it's just your regular brew. It's only very recently that i've become a tea girl i used to never have tea but somethings happened and now i can't get enough. I like my tea to be fairly strong so it's like a medium walnut colour. 2. Favourite part of your roast? This is possbily my most un-British trate i hate roast dinners i hate everything about them, and when i read this question i was answerless until in lily pebbles video she said Yorkshire puddings and yeah they must be my favourite part of a roast. 3. Favourite dunking biscuit? I don't know if this is a 'British' thing but i can't stand it. Urgh just thinking about it is making me gip. I just can't do it the sogginess urgh no, i can't bare to be around when other people do it. So i don't have a fave dunkin' bicky but i don't mind having an oreo with (i repeat with) my tea (not in with). 4. Favourite quintessentially British pass time? It's not really a 'British' thing but i'm going to say a picnic. I love how in the summer we just go on picnics we decide i'm just going to make a fancy lunch and eat it in the park or at the beach or wherever. 5. Favourite word? Bloody bloody bloody bloody bloody. I bloody (see what i did there...) love that word. 6. Favourite cockney rhyming slang? Marks and sparks (marks and spencers) wins hands down for me, although i love it i have never said it in a real life scenario "like i'm just popping in marks and sparks". I will do one day though. 7. Favourite sweet? There's two... First is those milk bottles that you can get which is more of a childhood favourite, whenever my auntie and uncle when to jersey they would always bring me some back they just knew they had to. My current favourite would be malteasers though, come on who doesn't love malteasers. 8. What would your pub be called? I seriously have no idea. I like the whole inn idea/concept maybe something like the spectacle inn (i wear glasses) and that is really bad. 9. No.1 British person? Easy peasy lemon squeezy hands down the Queen. How can the Queen not be your No.1 British person she's the most British person around. 10. Favourite shop/restaurant? My favourite shop would probably be superdrug or boots. My favourite resturant i'm going to go with my favourite pub (i don't know if it counts but it does now) which is the bell and the bottle, i love going there it's out in the country side (where i live anyway) foods always delicious and i always love going. 11. What British song pops into your head? Adele someone like you, or just anything by Adele. 12. Marmite? I love marmite but i can only hack a small amount at a time, a nice thin spread and i'm good. I tag you to do the British tag? Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers Tumblr@clairespiers

Dinner:

I brigng to you another food orientated post, can you tell i'm loving the food hype on blogs at the moment... This post is more of a healthier option as i've been watching what i'm eating as i have a birthday outfit i need to fit in. So i thought i'd share with you what i was eating for one whole day, i was inspired to do this post by VDM and i may do a series of posts like these. I started my day off with a green tea and some all bran golden crunch and activia strawberry yoghurt. I always start and end my day with a green tea...it's become a ritual. I rarely have a heavy or stodgy breakfast, as it always leaves me feeling ill and sluglish, so i usually opt for porridge or granola with yoghurt on top. Then onto lunch time and because i was busy with work i had a pre-made ham and egg salad from ASda. When i know i'm going to be busy with either college (when i had it) or work or travelling i stock up on the pre-made salads, so it saves me fussing around in the morning trying to make lunch and i get an extra few minutes in bed. My second favourite meal of the day behind breakfast is snack time. I love a good nibble, just something to refresh and boost my energy levels and i picked my all time favourite snack ever (that is a huge statement) Cadbury brunch bar in Raisin, i could honestly eat a whole box of these but i resisted and had one. If you've never had one i seriously suggest you do...you're missing out big time. Dinner was another quick option and not homemade which may put me in my mums bad books because she always makes her own soup, i cheated and had Heinz spring vegatable soup which is seriously good and my new fave. I hope you liked this type of post and who knows i may do more, What's your fave meal of the day? Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers Tumblr@clairespiers

Chocolate biscuits.

So guys i may be enjoying the holidays (including work) a little too much, that much i've not been on the blogging ball-all that nice weather, and days out, and nice food and just time to relax, i genuinely haven't relaxed like this since last August (there's always been some form of college work to worry about) so i'm making the most of it. Making the most of it by baking, there's just something about baking in the summer, whether that be baking with family or friends or even by myself... i'm loving a bit of baking right now. I'm loving it so much i've started my own cookbook/recipe scrapbook (maybe i just have to much time on my hands) but it counts as prep for living away from home. An addition to my recipe book is these chocolate biscuits:
The outcome

Cooling down time
-Ingredients: .Self raising flour (225g) .Caster sugar (100g) .Coco powder (3tbsp) .Margarine (100g) .Milk (5tbsp) -Utensils: .Mixing bowl .wooden spoon .Weights .Measuring spoons .Oven .Baking tray .Rolling pin .Cutter -Instructions: .Heat oven to 190C/375F gas mark 5 .Grease 2 baking trays .Mix flour, caster sugar and the coco powder in a bowl and rub in margarine .Add the milk mixing it in well .Bring together using your hands and knead on a floured surface .Roll out the dough till it's not to thin not to thick, considering the size you want your biscuits and how many you want to make. .Cut with a cutter .Place onto the greased baking trays being careful to not put the biscutis to close together as this is self raising flour and the mixture will expand and you don't want them to get stuck together .Bake in oven for 8-12 minutes -Roughly this recipe makes 20-22 biscuits. It's optional to you if you add a topping such as icing you could use a chocolate glace icing and sprinkle some grated chocolate on top or you could add rasins or chocolate chips or even cherries into the mixture (i'm going to try cherries next time). If you like you could just keep them plain like mine and we can be plain janes together... If you do try this recipe out enjoy baking, Claire x Twitter@claire_spiers Instagram@_clairespiers Tumblr@clairespiers
